Consultant, Software Tester

Senior Tester for federal government projects supporting the Department of Defense (DOD) U.S Army. Responsible for all aspects of testing. (Windows 7, HTLM, HTTP, ASP.NET, Java, Angular JS, ColdFusion, Agile, JIRA / Zephyr)    

 

·      Write and execute test cases / create defect reports (per 2 weeks Sprints).

·      Perform regression test as needed.

·      Work closely with Developers to clarify and understand Stories.

·      Test Web and iPad(iOS6/7) Pre-Admission Solutions.  

·      Work closely with Business Analyst to clarify and understand requirements.

·      Meet with Business Analyst to recommend and discuss software usability and improvements

·      Perform all test activities including reviewing requirements, test data creation, modifying and executing test cases, writing defects, retesting fixed defects, daily status reporting, functional testing, regression testing and negative testing.  Ensure the Web and Mobile Pre-Admission Solutions are identical.

·      Verify over 800 fields on more than 50 pages are functional per requirements.

Software Tester for Delta airlines supporting multiple projects and platforms concurrently for new enhancements and maintenance releases of company’s E-commerce web site. Responsible for all aspects of testing during the Software Life Development Cycle (SDLC) in a department where ONLY ONE Tester is assigned to a project. Consultant, Software Tester

Senior Tester for federal government projects supporting the Criminal Justice Information Services Division (CJIS) of the Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI). Responsible for evaluating, researching and testing commercial off-the-shelf (COTS) products in a Red Hat Enterprise Linux (RHEL) environment. (C++, ClearQuest, SourceSafe, Agile)

 

·      Executed iterations of over 12,900 automated test cases utilizing sequential dynamic Linux shell scripting.

·      Led 3-member test team to complete complex projects on schedule and within budget.

·      Oversaw the development schedule for testing integration.  Interfaced with management team to report results.

·      Developed test scripts to automatically run test cases designed to evaluate product performance at sizeable and disparate databases levels (from 700,000 to 400 million records).

·      Created and implemented tracking reports to monitor and manage functionality in 3 key areas: (1) Accuracy  (2) Throughput  (3) Response Time.

·      Wrote test plans and updated test procedures.  Generated defect reports, retested modified code and regression tested as required.  Worked closely with Requirements Analysts to clarify and understand requirements.

·      Trained and guided entry level software testers on Unix commands, scripting, quality assurance and testing.  As a result, assignments were successful and the project met all deadlines on or before schedule.

·      Ensured that development met all requirements for hardware and software testing parameters.  Verified blade setup, technical processes, services and methodology.

Consultant, Software Tester 

Software tester for Wachovia supporting their conversion to Wells Fargo whereby I verified the Wachovia Global Connection (WGC) application was functional for new releases, regression, UAT and productions regions. Tested the application from a System Administrator perspective to ensure the correct features, and buttons were enabled / disabled on the WGC Web based on the user company setup and user profile. (Windows Vista, HTML, HTTP, ASP, JavaScript, Quality Center, SQL, Waterfall)

 

·      Executed test suite on 5 browsers (IE6, IE7, IE8, Fire Fox and Safari) for regression, UAT and productions regions.

·      Generated test data test suite which included multiple System Administration IDs, companies and hundreds of users IDs / profiles. Each user profile had approximately 500 options.  Also generated over 100 different user configurations thereby testing the appropriate authorizations for each user per the requirements. 

·      Created test plans, cases and defects using Quality Center.

·      Worked extra hours without pay each week to completed weekly deadlines for conversion deadline.
